Sheriff Gary Gulledge announces the 2022 Paulding Cops for Kids, Inc. Christmas shopping event requirements and important dates. Paulding Cops for Kids, Inc. is in its 24th year and takes underprivileged children who live in Paulding County and pairs them with a Deputy to go shopping at Christmas. This year’s event will take place Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 7:00 AM at the Wal-Mart on Marietta Highway.
Carrie Fitzgerald was selected as the Employee of the Month for November 2022 by the Paulding County Board of Commissioners. Commission Chairman Dave Carmichael and County Manager Frank Baker came to the Sheriff’s Office to present the award with Sheriff Gary Gulledge.
Hiram Dental Smiles kicked off their grand opening in the first few months of business with free dental care, school supplies, and backpack donations, and an Ice Cream Social! The newly opened practice, located at 1899 Lake Road, Suite 220, in Hiram is a sister location to Dallas Dental Smiles, another local practice that has been providing dental care and supporting the community for almost five years now.
Michael Sersaw, of Dallas, Georgia, has been selected to represent our community as a member of the “All American D-Day Band.” Sponsored by Historic Programs and The National Band Association, the band members will wear special All-American uniforms provided by DeMoulin Bros & CO. and will perform on brand-new instruments provided by KHS America.
Paulding County 911 received a call for a house fire at 53 Baskin Road, located in the Temple community. Prior to the fire department's arrival, several neighbors called and advised seeing large flames and popping sounds coming from the home.

The Paulding County 4-H Forestry Judging team competed on September 6 at the Northwest District Forestry Judging Competition in Conyers, Georgia. The team consisted of Junior and Senior 4-H’ers who spent the summer preparing for the competition.
Paulding County 911 received a call from the home adjacent to 776 Woodwind Drive in the Yorkville community. According to the caller, 3 children who lived at home next door escaped by jumping from a second-story window, ran to his house, told him domestic violence was occurring at their home, that four other siblings were trapped, and that their mother had set the home on fire.
