Pauldings Newest Marine, James Jacobs graduated last Friday May 19th

Marine Corps Private First Class James Jacobs has graduated from basic military training at Parris Island, South Carolina.
During the thirteen weeks of training, the Marines studied Naval Science and history, Marine Corps mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and training in first- aid.
He is the nephew of Selina Defoor and Brian Defoor of Dallas, Ga.
Private First Class Jacobs is a 2017 graduate of East Paulding High School. Private First Class Jacobs finished all the required classes to finish his senior year of high school in December of 2016, then went on to Marine Corps Recruit training in February and will walk with his high school graduating class on Friday May 26 th as a United States Marine.
