Paulding-West Cobb Lions Club Win Awards at the District Convention
Paulding-West Cobb Lions Club was well represented March 16-18 at beautiful Cohutta Springs Conference Center near Chatsworth, GA.
Past International Director Jerome Thompson and 3rd International Vice President Haynes Townsend presented awards to five members of the Paulding-West Cobb club. Mark Rice was added to the District 18L Lions Hall of Fame for his dedication and service to the Lions Club. He also was presented with the Spouses Award, given for his support of his wife Teri Chambers-Rice during her year as District Governor. Ginger Eatman received a Certificate of Appreciation for her outstanding work with the vision program of the club. Betty Dean, Lester Dean and Michele Benoit received the International President’s Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of their dedicated service to the Lions Club.
The week was not all business, though. The Lions were entertained by the Hollywood Hillbilly Jamboree, while some took advantage of an array of activities, including making S’Mores at a bonfire, taking hayrides, hiking, canoeing, and sharing fellowship in this beautiful setting.

PDG Mark Rice received two distinguished awards: he was inducted into the District 18L Lions Hall of Fame for his many years of dedicated service to the Lions. He also received the Spouses Award for his unfailing support during his wife Teri's year as District Governor.
