Marine Graduate: Marine Corps Private John Shifflette

Marine Corps Private John Shifflette has graduated from basic military training at Parris Island, South Carolina.

During the thirteen weeks of training, the Marines studied Naval Science and history, Marine Corps mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and training in first-aid.

He is the son of Dan and Susan Shifflette of Hiram, Ga. Private Shifflette is a 2017 graduate of South Paulding High School.
