Paulding County 4-H’ers Compete at 2022 Cloverleaf Project Achievement
DALLAS, Ga. - On January 22, Paulding County 4-H’ers traveled to the Paulding College and Career Academy to compete at the County Project Achievement (CPA) competition. Project Achievement is one of the largest and most exciting programs offered by Georgia 4-H. 4-H’ers choose a project area of interest, research a topic, then write and present an oral presentation to others. For Cloverleaf 4-H’ers, students in grades 4-6, this process is about hands-on learning, self-confidence, and sharing knowledge.
There were 63 students in the 5th and 6th grades that competed at this annual county-level event. These students represented over 30 different program areas including Agriculture, History, Wildlife, Sports, and Performing Arts. “We are extremely proud of our students! No matter the results, they have learned new life skills, found new friends, and gained valuable self-confidence because of this experience” said Josie Davis, Paulding County 4-H Agent. Over 40 participants will advance to the District Project Achievement competition happening in Douglas County on Saturday, March 26th.
The UGA Extension staff of Paulding County wants to thank the parents and guardians who helped support these 4-H’ers as well as the 4-H volunteers and teen leaders that helped make this engaging and rewarding experience happen. A special thank you is extended to the Paulding College and Career Academy for housing this successful event. Paulding County 4-H'er participation in Cloverleaf CPA is sponsored by Cobb EMC Community Foundation.
