Draketown Georgia November 13, 1924 Alice Stewart is shot twice once in the back by moonshiners when she tries to stop them from abducting and horse whipping her husband, Rev. Robert Stewart, for destroying their stills. She dies two days later, the first woman martyr of prohibition. News of this tragedy sweeps the country.
