Jodi Carrigan Visits the Crossroads Public Library

Jodi Carrigan, Lead Keeper of Primates at Zoo Atlanta visited Crossroads Public Library Monday, July 11th at 11:30 a.m. for a special family program. Jodi worked with Ivan the gorilla who inspired the John Newberry Medal winning book The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate. During the program, Carrigan shared her memories and experiences from her ten years of working with Ivan. Her talk included photos featuring Ivan and art created by the gorilla. Copies of the popular book were available to patrons leading up to the program. Paula Flippin held a reception for Carrigan immediately following the program.
