73-Year-Old Dallas Georgia Resident Badly In Need of Hearing Aids Writes Emotional Letter To The Beltone Hearing Care Foundation Pleading For Help!

She’s Living A Nightmare! Son Has MS, Husband has COPD, And Has Lived through a Flood And Fire!

hearing 533Eugenia Maxwell, 73, of Dallas, GA. recently wrote a letter to the Beltone Hearing Care Foundation to see if she could get herself approved for new hearing aids.
Maxwell is desperate and has nowhere else to turn to for help. She is on a very limited fixed income. She recently had a hearing test that indicated she has a severe hearing loss. Because of this, it makes it very hard for her to function in daily life with very limited hearing.
She definitely wants to improve her quality of life and hear normally again but she is not confident that will happen. However, she is hoping and praying that something can be done to help her situation.
The Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, donates hearing aids to those who are in need, and are unable to access them. Both individuals and organizations are eligible to receive assistance from the Foundation through direct nominations to Beltone or at one of its 1500 locations across North America.
“This Foundation gives us a new path to achieve this mission by helping deserving individuals and organizations in their communities enrich their quality of life,” states Trey Gorman, Director Of Georgia Operations of Beltone Audiology & Hearing Aid Centers.
Eugenia wrote: “From the hearing test thy I had done at Beltone, I am slowly losing my hearing and I need a hearing aid. I am 73 years old and my husband and I are on Social Security.
My husband has extensive COPD and can hardly get around and my son, who is with us part of the time has MS. I would like to be able to afford to buy a hearing aid but with the last year that we have had, it is impossible. In October, 2015, we had a leak in our plumbing. When the water had nowhere else to go, it came out in the back half of our house and flooded everything. It also ruined our carpets and some of the furniture. We had to have entirely new plumbing installed because no one wanted to repair our existing plumbing due to the age of the house.
Then we started to have trouble with the well pump. In February 2016, our home caught on fire. Fortunately, my son was able to slow the fire to allow the firemen to get here to put it out. Luckily it was contained in the attic and did not reach the roof. The ceiling in one bedroom was completely ruined. The fire started over the bedroom. Unfortunately, we had no insurance. Then we started having trouble with our 1998 Dodge Dakota Pickup. We had to spend $1,000 in repairs in six weeks. We had no choice but to fit it because it is our only means of transportation.
We still don’t have a new pump for our well so that is going to take priority over everything right now. We are getting our water by running a hose from our neighbors house. So there is no way a hearing aid can even be thought about for a few years.
I was told to write this telling why I deserve a hearing aid. I don’t know if I deserve one more than anybody else but I would love to be able to hear things going on around me and not have to tell my grandkids to repeat things three or four times before I can understand them. I sincerely thank you for your consideration.”
Well, miracles do happen and thanks to the Beltone Hearing Care Foundation and Beltone Audiology & Hearing Aid Centers, Eugenia Maxwell was approved instantly and will be fit with her new hearing aids on Monday July 10th at 11 AM at The Beltone Audiology & Hearing Aid Center located at 76 Seven Hills Blvd,, Suite 103, Dallas GA. This will make her life and her hearing much better The media is invited to attend.
