Deputy Jerry Coalson Retires From the Sheriff’s Office

JerryCoalson 600(Paulding County, GA) On Friday, November 3, 2017, a retirement reception was held in honor of Deputy Jerry Coalson at the Paulding County Courthouse. Deputy Coalson began his career in law enforcement with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office in July of 2003.
Prior to coming to the Sheriff’s Office, he worked for United Parcel Service, Inc. for 24 years. Deputy Coalson began his career in the Courthouse and has remained there throughout the duration of his time with the Sheriff’s Office. A short time after his employment began, Deputy Coalson went to basic mandate training where he went through 10 weeks of training to become a Georgia P.O.S.T certified peace officer.
Deputy Coalson worked daily at the Paulding County Courthouse helping to ensure the safety of our citizens, attorneys, and judges. His hard work ethic and sense of humor will be sorely missed by his co-workers and the citizens he encountered every day.
Deputy Coalson’s law enforcement career has spanned over 14 years. During his tenure as a law enforcement officer, he was able to assist with the transition from the old Courthouse to the new one. We want to wish Deputy Coalson a happy and relaxing retirement. Now he will have plenty of time to enjoy life and spend time with his family.
