Paulding County Recycles Week

beautiful4231The definition of service is “the action of helping or doing work for someone.” So, service can be good, or service can be bad. Before America turned to “self-service” at our neighborhood gas station, back before QT, RaceTrac others became “convenience stores”, we could go to our local gas station and get good service. When the automobile pulled into the station, most times several employees would come out to fill the gas tank, check the oil, & wash the windshield. That is no longer the case at American gas stations, but here in Paulding County, that level of service and commitment is still available at the Paulding County Recycle Center. (No, they will not fill the gas tank, check the oil or wash the windshield) Neil Rainwater, Richard Wood, and Israel Caban make up the team that delivers this level of service. They take pride in helping others and serving the needs of the community, so that when a vehicle does pull into the recycle center all the recycle items are offloaded, separated and delivered into the warehouse to be stored until delivery to our vendors for recycling production.
Anyone who has visited this unique operation would say, it is a level of service that is not equaled and should be experienced by every Paulding County resident. We should celebrate what we have here in Paulding County.
November 15th is America Recycle Day and with that in mind, Keep Paulding Beautiful would like to encourage anyone who goes to or is in contact with the recycle center be sure and let them know how much they are appreciated. (hint: They really like pizza, donuts etc.…) Please take some time the week of November 13- November 17 to let them know what a great job they do!
“The staff at the recycling center is available to assist you in any way. Whatever you recycle will be diverted from the landfill! Let us all be good stewards of what we have been blessed with! Paulding Strong!!!!” Tommy Leonard, Solid Waste, and Recycle Manager
