Media Consultant Eric Seidel Speaker at March Chamber Luncheon
Media Consultant Eric Seidel was the keynote speaker for the March Chamber Luncheon in Dallas last week.
Seidel, the CEO with The Media Trainers, LLC, spoke to Paulding business leaders about the right ways and the wrong ways to handle interviews and publicity and how to achieve the desired result through taking the time to prepare beforehand.
Clark Howard, Sean Hannity, Kim "the Kimmer" Peterson, Tom Hughes and Neal Boortz all worked under Seidel’s leadership. Seidel discussed some specific techniques for developing and delivering strong, positive, persuasive messaging to target audiences based on his years of experience working in several major media markets, including New York City, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Baltimore and his native Washington, DC, where he was the U.S. Supreme Court Correspondent for CNN.
Analysts, investors, regulators, legislators, competitors, clients, prospects, family, and friends -- you make impressions on all of them, and each can impact your business goals, Seidel said.
Seidel said that in the Internet world in which we now live, everyone is potential media and can communicate things good or bad about a business.
Seidel geared his remarks to help inform on some key questions including, how are you helping mold those impressions? How do you want them to perceive you? What do you want them to think, and even repeat?
Seidel’s firm, The Media Trainers, LLC, helps businesses by giving them the specific techniques for developing and delivering strong, positive, persuasive messaging to a target audience and instructs spokespersons on how to answer questions responsively, on their terms and from their perspective.
