Rick Parson Retires From the Sheriff’s Office

Rick Parson Retirement Photo(Paulding County, GA) On Friday, July 27, 2018, a retirement reception was held in honor of Rick Parson at the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office conference room where he was surrounded by his friends, family, and coworkers. Rick began his career with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office on June 5, 1992, and officially retired on July 27, 2018.
When he began his career with the Sheriff’s Office, Rick Parson started out as a dispatcher when the Sheriff’s Office used to operate the Communications Center. He then transferred to the Detention Center where he became a Jailer. From there Rick worked in various departments to include Finance, Purchasing Clerk (Detention Center), Purchasing Clerk (Sheriff’s Office), and in 2003 he became the Office Manager of the Sheriff’s Office.
Over the years, Rick Parson has made sure the daily operations of the Sheriff’s Office have run flawlessly. Sheriff Gary Gulledge stated, “Rick has been a great employee to the Sheriff’s Office. Growing up in Paulding County and working in Paulding County has made Rick one of those employees that you don’t come by very often. He will be deeply missed by everyone and we wish him the best of luck on his much-deserved retirement.”
Rick Parson’s law enforcement and civilian career spanned over 26 years. During his tenure as an employee of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, he has seen many changes in the profession. We want to wish Rick a happy and relaxing retirement. Now he will have plenty of time to enjoy life, spend time with his family, and see many interesting places in his RV.
