CareLink of Northwest Georgia Open House

CareLink of Northwest Georgia is hosting a Community Open House on Sunday, October 28th from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and on Monday, October 29th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend. The center will be open for tours and there will be complimentary barbeque available.
CareLink of Northwest Georgia serves as a community health and wellness clinic providing low cost, high-quality medical care and support resources to adult residents of Paulding County that are not insured or underinsured.
“Several years ago, local community members got together and realized that we had a large need in this community for a health clinic targeting adults who otherwise might not have access to health care,” said Rita Norris, CareLink Board of Directors Chair. “We worked over the last few years to pitch this idea, generate support, and raise funds to get it started. We are excited to announce that we are ready to open our center and hope the community will stop by to see what we have to offer.”
The CareLink Center has four examination rooms and will be staffed by volunteer medical professionals. By working with local agencies, individuals can be referred to the clinic for various health issues. The medical team at CareLink can treat general health concerns such as asthma, cardiovascular disease, COPD, obesity, Type II Diabetes and routine health maintenance issues.
“We are very fortunate to have been the sole Community Benefits Partner for WellStar Paulding Hospital since the summer of 2016,” said Mrs. Norris. “Their support of our clinic has made it possible for us to open our doors and staff the facility.” However, as a 501(c)(3) organization, CareLink depends on individual and business support for their operating budget.
“We hope the community will take a few minutes to come and see the new center during our open house on the last Sunday and Monday of October,” said Mrs. Norris. “We are proud that we have put together a physical location that will serve adult members of our community for years to come.”Carelink800
