Local Teen Murders Fellow Teen in Hiram Home

seth(Paulding County, GA) On February 2, 2019, at around 6:47 PM a 911 call was placed to Paulding E-911 reference a person shot call at 99 Calm Waters Avenue, Hiram GA 30141. Deputies arrived on scene within minutes of the call going out and discovered an 18-year-old male who had been shot in the head and was in grave condition.
Fire and EMS personnel quickly arrived on the scene and treated the victim while Deputies began speaking with the witnesses to see what took place in the home. Shortly after arriving on the scene, Deputies advised that they were looking for a 15-year-old black male juvenile who was allegedly the shooter.
After searching the area, Deputies were able to locate and safely take the male juvenile suspect into custody at Harris Bridge Overlook Apartments in Dallas. Deputies and Detectives were also able to recover the gun from the incident.
The victim, who is identified as Kaileb Chance Ellison (B/M, 18 YOA) of Douglas County, died as a result of his injuries on February 7, 2019, at an Atlanta area hospital.
As a result of the victim’s death and the severity of the incident, authorities have decided to charge the 15-year-old male juvenile as an adult. Since he is being charged as an adult, he can be publicly identified as Seth William Wyatt (B/M, 15 YOA) of Paulding County. Wyatt has been formally charged with the following offenses:

  • Malice Murder (F)
  • Murder (F)
  • Aggravated Assault (F)
  • Theft by Receiving Stolen Property (F)
  • Possession of a Pistol by a Minor (M)
  • Altering a Serial Number on a Firearm (F)
  • Violation of the Georgia Street Gang Act (2 counts) (F)
