Seven and a Timmaaay” from Hiram Wins World Pool Championships in Vegas

Seven and a Timmaaay wins $15,000 of guaranteed $1 Million purse!

Hiram, GA (Aug. 22, 2019) – Seven and a Timmaaay of Hiram, Ga finished 1st in the 2019 APA 9-Ball World Championship, conducted by the American Poolplayers Association (APA) on Aug. 13-17 at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. Seven and a Timmaaay are members of the local APA 9-Ball League that play out of Hiram Station and became eligible to compete in the World Pool Championships by participating in weekly league play and placing at the top of their division during the summer, fall or spring sessions.
At the conclusion of the spring session, Seven and a Timmaaay advanced to the World Pool Championship by qualifying at their World Qualifier. More than 500 teams comprised the APA 9-Ball World Championship field.
Seven and a Timmaaay participate in weekly league play at Hiram Station in Hiram, Ga. Team members include: Stephanie Prewett, Timothy Heath, Laura Canrtell, Sabrina Campbell, Heather Clough, Ralph Janis, Lisa Meeks, and Bradley Gregory.
The APA, based in Lake Saint Louis, Mo., sanctions the world’s largest amateur pool league, known as the APA Pool League throughout the United States and as the Canadian Pool League in Canada.seven and a timmaaay800Nearly 250,000 members compete in weekly 8-Ball and 9-Ball League play. The APA is generally recognized as the Governing Body of Amateur Pool, having established the official rules, championships, formats and handicap systems for the sport of amateur billiards.
The APA produces four major tournaments each year—the APA World Pool Championships, the APA Pool player Championships, the APA Junior Championships, and the U.S. Amateur Championship—that, together, pay out nearly $2 Million in cash and prizes annually.
In 2010, the APA World Pool Championships were recognized by Guinness World Records as the “world’s largest pool tournament.”
