Paulding Retired Educators

Paulding Retired Educators met at the Hardy Lake House on November 12th. Thank you to the Hardy Family for letting us use your beautiful facilities. Our speaker was Dr. Rebecca Vaughn who highlighted her late father's book. Rufus W. Youngblood authored "20 Years in the Secret Service: My Life With 5 Presidents." Dr. Vaughn told many interesting events her father witnessed and has added many photographs to her updated version of the original book. Our organization has raised $1,400 for the Alzheimer's Association, which is the focus for fundraising for our state's organization. Donations were also made to Paulding Helping Hands and our scholarship fund. Cathy Amos presented and sold her artful jewelry. Sandy Parson provided beautiful Christmas music for us to enjoy. The next PREA meeting will be held on January 14, 2020, at the Dallas First Baptist Church at 2 PM. We invite all retired educators to attend.
