PCFD’s 1st internally hosted Advanced Fire EMT Class

Congratulations to our 10 firefighters who successfully competed and passed PCFD’s first-ever Advanced EMT class taught & hosted internally. This extensive program consists of more than 400 classroom, lab and clinical hours. For over 30 years our employees who have earned EMT and Paramedic certifications have attended private colleges and schools on their own time, paid tuition personally, and still worked their normal shifts. This is definitely a major milestone in the Department’s history. More importantly, it helps us better provide expanded pre-hospital emergency care to the citizens of Paulding County. Congratulations to all of the new EMTs and to our EMS Coordinator Lisa Lewis who facilitated the program!!
