COVID-19 Care Bear Program

Home Hospice of Georgia is excited to announce our new community outreach initiative. The COVID-19 Care Bear Program! This program is specifically aimed to help our senior citizens that have been sheltered in place since the pandemic. We know that times can appear difficult right now. There is a lack of normal human connection, first. Then there is also boredom and a general feeling of unease. Remaining vigilant in self-care is of utmost importance right now. Many of our citizens in this particular age group are missing their families and their day-to-day outings. We want to brighten up days and bring smiles to their lovely faces. We have collaborated as a team to create a way to do just that!
Using a simple sign up form, a senior citizen (aged 65 or older) can fill out the submission form. The form may also be filled out by a loved one. Once the information is received, a self-care basket will be hand-delivered to their home. It is our intention to positively enrich each recipient's life! The basket will be delivered by a care-team member (me) fully gloved and masked. The basket will be left on the indicated “preference spot” that was filled out on the submission form. The basket can also be mailed if that is the preferred method for receiving.
