Detention Officer Etta Arnold Retires From the Sheriff’s Office

Arnold 600(Paulding County, GA) On Friday, June 11, 2021, Detention Officer Etta Arnold retired from the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office. Detention Officer Arnold began her career at the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office on October 19, 1996, in the Jail. During her nearly 25 year career, she served under two different sheriffs.
Detention Officer Arnold had a passion for working in the Jail setting. She made the choice to stay where she thought she could have the largest impact. There, she was able to work in the medical wing of the Jail facility where she was able to assist the doctors and nurses with all aspects of their job. “Mrs. Etta” as she was affectionately referred to by everyone at the Sheriff’s Office, was loved by everyone, even the inmates. Sheriff Gary Gulledge stated, “Mrs. Etta was a wonderful employee and was always smiling. She was so much fun to be around and loved to cut up and have a good time. I hope she enjoys time with her family and gets to relax as much as she wants.”
In her nearly 25 year career, Detention Officer Arnold has seen many changes at the Sheriff’s Office. We want to wish “Mrs. Etta” a happy and relaxing retirement. Now she will have plenty of time to enjoy life and spend time with her family.
