MARIETTA, Ga. – Golden Eagles sophomore power forward Arthur Bennett has signed with Division II Johnson C. Smith to continue his basketball career. Bennett, from McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Georgia, is a 6’7”, 265-pound big man who started 26 of 32 games last season for a Chattahoochee Tech team that finished 22-8 overall.
Bennett scored 7.3 points per game on 64 percent shooting from the field, which led the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association by four percentage points and ranked sixth in National Junior College Athletic Association Division I. He also pulled down 5.9 rebounds per game in just under 18 minutes per contest.
Johnson C. Smith, a member of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association, is located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Bennett will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Golden Bulls, who are coached by Stephen Joyner Sr. and finished 14-12 last season.eagles a 800
