2018 DECA International Career Development Conference and Competition

DECA’s high school membership is now over 220,000. Approximately 19,300 students, advisors, business partners, and volunteers attended the 72nd and largest annual DECA International Career Development Conference held in Atlanta, GA at the Georgia World Congress Center and Mercedes Benz Stadium on April 21-24, 2018. Students participated from all 50 states plus China, Korea, Spain, Germany, Canada, and Guam. Georgia’s students and advisors made up 775 of the 19,000+ participants.
East Paulding High School DECA had 12 students compete on the international level. Mackenzie Richens and Brooke Putman competed in Entrepreneurship Promotion Plan and finished in the top 20% of their event.
Lexie Fordham and Emaleigh Kish competed in Creative Marketing Project and finished in the top 20% of their event.
Hannah Varnum and Mollie Jackson competed in Public Relations Project and finished in the top 20% of their event.
Alexis Kirkland competed in Start-Up Business Plan and finished in the top 20% of her event.
Avis Hulsey and Anna Wooley competed in Financial Literacy Promotion Plan.
Jaime Sizemore, Sydney Thula, and Kaylee Stoneburner competed in Advertising Campaign.
