Exclusive Competitive Scholarship Awards Student of Integrity BBB’s Center for Character Ethics’ annual award recognizes senior from South Paulding High School

southsenior600Atlanta, GA - Integrity. In today's society, it is probably not a term used to describe many people; however, it is a character trait that helped Paulding County student, Alyssa Jones, receive a prestigious scholarship. Jones, a 2018 graduating student of South Paulding High School, was one of only seven students to receive the annual Student of Integrity Scholarship presented by The Center for Character Ethics. The award acknowledges integrity, character and ethical behavior in future leaders.
More than 180 students from public and private high schools in 42 counties competed for this year’s awards. Awards ranged from $1,000-$3,500. Jones received a $2,500 scholarship. Other 2018 scholarship recipients are:

  • Erin Wilson  Rockdale Magnet School of Science & Technology
  • Faith Buchanan  Rockdale Magnet School of Science & Technology
  • Garrett Kinsey  Habersham Central High School
  • Hannah Nauck  Pike County High School
  • Amanda McAuley  Lakeside High School
  • Emily Vail  Dunwoody High School

At South Paulding High School, Jones has served as Vice President of Spanish Honor Society Club, SkillsUSA President, and a member of the National Honor Society.

The Student of Integrity Scholarship Program is an annual competition that recognizes high school seniors who personify high ethics, as demonstrated through leadership, community service, personal integrity and academic accomplishments. As the scholarship recipients pursue their careers, The Center for Character Ethics believes these future business leaders will promote ethics in the workplace. The 2018 scholarships were provided with the support of Better Business Bureau, SunTrust, Delta Community Credit Union, Rollins, Synovus, and Chick-fil-A Riverdale Dwarf House.
