The Paulding County Patriots hosted the Pepperell Dragons in a pre-season scrimmage last Friday. The score of the game went to the Dragons 28-21, but the outcome was not a priority. The main objective was to stay healthy and continue to improve on defense and get a firmer grasp of the new offense that is being installed by new head coach Vance Spence. Spence came to Dallas from perennial power house McEachern where he was the offensive coordinator since 2010. The Patriots only played the first unit for the first half wherein they had a 21-14 lead going to the locker room. Carrying the load for the Patriots as expected was Senior running back Tre Lewis who scored all 3 touchdowns for the home team. The Patriots open up their season Friday night at North Paulding in a non region tilt.
