LADY PATRIOTS ON A ROLL!

It was rivalry week for the Paulding County Patriots girls soccer team as they played 3 games in 5 days all against in county foes South, Hiram, and East. When the dust settled Friday night they came out victorious in all 3 matches and improved their record to 11-1 overall and 5-0 in the region alone in first place.
The Lady Patriots are currently ranked 8th in the state by the AJC and 11th by Maxpreps.com. They still have 3 games remaining in region play against Carrollton, Cass, and Rome. Also on their schedule are 4 non-region matches.
The week started with a hard fought victory over South Paulding by a score of 4-1. On Wednesday they traveled to Hiram and defeated the Hornets 10-0. To cap the week off on Friday they faced their fiercest rival at the boneyard of East Paulding. As expected it was a tight game and the Raiders brought their best but in the end the Patriots prevailed 3-1.
Coach Matt Putman's senior laden squad should be the team to beat coming down the stretch of the season, it will be interesting to see how far this team can go. Come out and support the Patriot Ladies on the pitch as they make their run.
