LADY PATRIOTS SOCCER

The past week was a good one for the Lady Patriot soccer team as they won a crucial region match against Carrollton to remain undeafeated in region play. The match against Carrollton was a tough one with the Patriots coming out on top 3-1. On Friday they traveled to Woodstock to play a 7A class school and came out on the short end of the score 6-0. The Patriots only trailed 1-0 at the half but the homestanding Wolverines put 5 in the net in the second half. The Patriots rested many starters and were able to get other players some valuable playing time and gain experience.
The Patriots have been a dominant force this year with an offense that has averaged almost 6 goals per game netting 74 goals thus far through 13 matches. Their defense has been equally impressive allowing only 17 goals on the season. The Patriots have only 2 more region matches remaining as they travel to White Georgia to play Cass this Tuesday and play Rome away after spring break.
