Wolfpack swept the visiting Lowndes County Vikings Friday night
Dallas, GA: The North Paulding Wolfpack swept the visiting Lowndes County Vikings 10-1 and 8-1 Friday night in the first round of the 7-A baseball State Playoffs. The Pack collected 26 hits in the series, led by Mickey Maguire who went 6 for 7, Justin Chauvin who went 4 for 7 and Luke Gray who went 4 for 8 including three doubles. North Paulding jumped out to early leads by scoring 6 runs in the first inning of game 1 and 4 runs in the first inning of game 2. Strong pitching performances allowed the Pack to cruise to the series sweep. Dalton Rhadans threw a complete-game 2-hitter in the opener and Jacob Brown and Alex Poff scattered 7 hits in the series clincher. North Paulding, the Region 3 runner-up, will face Region 5 #1 seed Lambert in the Sweet 16.
