North Paulding Baseball Sweet 16 Series Win

Dallas, GA The North Paulding Wolfpack is headed to the Elite 8 in the AAAAAAA State Baseball Playoffs. The Pack swept the 2nd Round series at Lambert Wednesday evening, winning 8-5 in Game 1 and 6-0 in Game 2. In the series opener, Dalton Rhadans pitched six and a third innings to get the win, with Alex Poff coming on for the save. The North Paulding bats pounded out 11 hits, with CF Griffin Zito leading the way going 3 for 4. 1B Nick Colina and RF Zack Bright each contributed two hits to the cause. In the deciding game, Jakob Brown threw a masterful complete game 4-hitter. North took advantage of some timely hitting to push across 6 runs while getting stellar defense from 3B JoJo Kelliher to shut out the Longhorns. The Wolfpack will take on the winner of the Walton/Mill Creek series starting Wednesday, May 10th.
