North Paulding Triumphs Over Paulding County

The North Paulding Wolfpack opened their football season with a dominating performance over the Paulding County Patriots at Dave Hardin Stadium in Dallas Friday night with a 27-0 victory.
The Wolfpack scored with a balanced offense that were able to to run the ball effectively and come up with big plays through the air. The Wolfpack defense was relentless in their pursuit of the Patriots as they harassed Patriot QB Brantley Mauldin on each pass attempt and sacking him numerous times. The Patriots were limited to less than a hundred yards of total offense and struggled to establish a ground game as well.
The game itself was marred by double digit penalties on both sides along with ejections of players from both sides and numerous turnovers. The turning point of the game was early in the 2nd quarter as the Patriots drove down to the 3 yard line and fumbled the ball away to North. Pualding County was unable to move the ball anymore throughout the game, they did have another scoring threat late as Licquanta Carter returned a kickoff 86 yards to the 14 but the Patriots turned it over on downs. North Paulding will host South Paulding next week and Paulding County will host New Manchester from Douglasville.
