Raider Advance to Playoffs

Tensions between East Paulding Raiders and Villa Rica Wildcats heated up in last Friday's game. The game was crucial for both teams as the victor would go on to the playoff and the other walk off for the final time. Both teams racked up countless personal fouls and unsportsmanlike conduct throughout the game.
East Paulding received the opening kickoff and was forced to punt. The punt was recovered by the Raiders and then driven in for a touchdown by Tyrell Robinson 3 plays later. Both teams could not score any more until the third quarter.
Phillip Zachery scored the only Wild Cats touchdown in the third. Elohim Hall 57 yard kickoff return set up the Raiders to answer back with their own touchdown in two plays. On the first play by the Wild Cats, Austin Harvey intercepted a pass and three plays later, the Raiders scored the final touchdown of the game (21-7).
With the win, the Raiders are the 4th seed and will travel to face Banneker, #1 seed in 6-AAAAA. North Paulding also made the playoffs as the 4th seed and will travel to Westlake, #1 seed in 2-AAAAAAA.
