Paulding Hospital’s extraordinary approach to routine procedures

DrMemark533Surgery is an important healthcare tool. It can remove problems and ease symptoms and pain. Surgery can cure disease. And help the body work better. Various studies estimate that the average American will have nearly 10 surgeries in their lifetime. WellStar Paulding Hospital continues to expand its team, technology and facility to deliver world-class surgical care to the community now and for years to come.
Vanchad “Ron” Memark, M.D., one surgeon at WellStar Paulding Hospital, works every day to make sure patients having surgery at WellStar Paulding Hospital are getting the best care possible.
“WellStar Paulding Hospital’s surgeons are on the forefront of surgical trends and techniques,” Dr. Memark said. “We attend conferences and participate in continuing education and lifelong learning. The surgery department is always looking for ways it can operate in the best way possible.”
The team’s current focus is on developing post-surgery processes in order to help patients get back to their daily lives quickly. Additionally, many of the procedures require only tiny incisions which means little scarring and reduced recovery time.
“In order to further decrease recovery time we suggest activity immediately following the procedure and strategic breathing exercises,” said Dr. Memark. “My favorite part about being a surgeon is seeing how my patients improve post-surgery. I have always enjoyed having the ability to use my hands and knowledge to help patients and see the results.”
Vanchad “Ron” Memark is a specialist in surgical disease of the GI tract, hernia repair and endocrine disease. He is currently in practice with WellStar General Surgery. For an appointment, call 770-445-4915.DrMemark533 b
