Twenty-nine participants from Bartow, Floyd, Gordon, and Polk Counties have reached a key milestone in their career journeys, completing healthcare training through the Pathways to Empowerment Workforce Development Initiative, led by Tallatoona Community Action Partnership (CAP), Inc.
With funding and support from Tallatoona CAP through a grant from the Truist Community Catalyst Initiative—a three-year program funded by the Truist Charitable Fund to support local efforts with statewide impact—participants were able to complete their training at no cost.
Graduates earned certifications in Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), and Certified Medication Technician (CMT), equipping them to enter one of the region’s most in-demand fields.
“This group of students demonstrated outstanding dedication to their future and their community,” said Scott Gray, Executive Director of Tallatoona CAP, Inc. “We are honored to support their success and proud to help them take this important step toward meaningful employment in healthcare.”
Through partnerships with local training providers and institutions, Pathways to Empowerment is designed to remove barriers to employment by offering access to education, job training, and wraparound support services.
The program continues to create life-changing opportunities for individuals across Northwest Georgia, preparing graduates to meet critical workforce needs while building more stable futures for themselves and their families.
