New Georgia Library’s Summer Reading Program for Children is officially over for this year, and we would like to congratulate the winners of our wonderful raffle prizes! A quick recap... To enter for our outstanding prizes this year, Patrons either had to: Sign up for summer reading, attend a Summer Reading Event, or turn in their completed reading log by July 13th! We gave out “swag bags,” just for signing up, but the real prizes were given out at the end!
Our wonderful readers were able to win tickets to Atlanta attractions: Including the Zoo, Aquarium, LEGO Discovery Center, Center for Puppetry Arts, World of Coke, and Six Flags! We also gave away a few tote bags, and a signed picture of Mike Foltynewicz from the Braves! On top of those prizes, we were able to give away TWO bicycles! For one lucky boy and girl, this quickly became the best Summer Reading EVER! The two bicycle winners were Mr. Daniel, and Miss Ari! Mr. Daniel was not able to make it for the live drawing at our Foam Party, and his Parents were cool enough to keep it a secret for when they came to the library for him to pick it up! He was very surprised! And Miss Ari has been participating in our Summer Reading Programs since she was a toddler, and all of her hard work finally paid off!
Our Summer Programs would not have been possible without a lot of help from our community, particularly our helpful sponsors! A big thank you to the New Georgia Friends of the Library, Greystone Power, the New Georgia Publix, and Paulding County Uncensored! We also want to thank every Patron that showed up for our events, stopped in to read a book or say hello, or offer to volunteer their time for clean up! We truly have the best community, and are lucky you choose to share your days with us!
