CONGRATULATIONS AND THANK YOU, MARLEY and SHELBY DUTTON!

These two sweet girls, Marley and Shelby Dutton, daughters of Doug and Carrie Dutton and granddaughters of Grady and Sarah Ruff won the raffle on Saturday, January 28th for this beautiful cross that was custom made and donated by Lee Lindsey of Burnt Hickory. Thank you, Lee for such thoughtful donation!
The BBQ Dudes of Burnt Hickory and The New Hope Q Crew hosted a fundraiser at the town of Ynot on January 28, 2017. Thank you, Mayor Al Walker for donating the use of his unique and interesting Western town as the venue! Thanks to the dedication and hard work of these men and women, we raised over $2500 toward the estimated cost of the monument.
The funds raised were for New Hope Memorial Flight 242, Inc. to help raise funds to build a monument in New Hope to preserve the memory of 72 lives lost and to honor the 21 survivors of the worst air disaster in GA history that occurred on April 4, 1977 in the Paulding County Community of New Hope. Marley and Shelby touched the hearts of everyone by donating the Custom Cross to New Hope Memorial Flight 242, Inc. to add to our collection of historical items in the Traveling Display. Thank you, Marley and Shelby for your generous donation!
The public can see the cross and other historical items and news clippings in the Paulding County Libraries starting in February and at the 40th Memorial Service and Survivors’ reunion on Saturday, March 25, 2017, 11:30 AM at The First Baptist Church, 31 Bobo Road, Dallas, GA 30132.bbq 242 800
