30th Annual Student Art Show Reception and Awards Presentation

art 80030th Annual Student Art Show Reception and Awards Presentation Paulding Fine Arts Association's 30th Annual Student Art Show Reception and Awards presentation was held Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm in the Dallas Civic Center and Theatre in downtown Dallas, GA. Crowds viewed the wonderful artwork created by 172 students, listened to music by Ron Cline and Randy Link in the theatre, then awards were announced at 3:00 pm in the theatre. Many thanks to art teachers from Polk county, Margaret Bearden and Paul Craighead, for judging the artwork this year.
23 Public Schools participated this year, with 10 Elementary, 9 Middle Schools and 4 High Schools. 7 private schools and other learning centers, which cater to the arts, participated. Boys & Girls Club had 9 entries and Hopp Frogg Music & Arts Academy had 6 entries. Home Schooled Students had 21 entries.The most entries were from Baggett Elementary with 63 entries! Of the 9 Middle Schools, Scoggins Middle had the most entries with 5 entries. Four High Schools were represented with Paulding County High submitting 5 entries and North Paulding coming in a close second with 4 entries. Many THANKS to the parents and teachers who encouraged the students to enter the art competition, thanks to the many wonderful Paulding Fine Arts volunteers, and thanks to all who support the Fine Arts in Paulding County!
You can view the place winner's artwork March 9-31, 2017 at the Historic Courthouse Gallery & Studios (2nd floor of the OLD Courthouse). Gallery hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.
