Georgia Future Educators Signing Day

On Tuesday, May 8, 2018, ten South Paulding High School students participated in the Georgia Future Educators signing day. Each of these students has been accepted into college and plan to pursue teaching as a profession.
Representative Howard Maxwell brought words of encouragement to our future educators. Ms. Elaine Heath-Ward representing The University of West Georgia and Dr. Maurice Wilson from Kennesaw State University participated in our first annual Georgia Future Educators Signing Day. Parents, teachers, and fellow students celebrated the signing day and enjoyed cake provided by Publix, New Georgia, Bakery.
This year, Paulding County is taking the extra step to grow our own teachers by providing a substitute teacher training for our pathway completers.
