Paulding Chamber 56th Annual Awards
Paulding County’s Chamber of Commerce hosted their 56th Annual Awards event in Cartersville last week. Paulding’s business leaders were recognized for their accomplishments in the community during the past year. This year the awards also acknowledged those who’ve had a long term impact on Paulding County with a Hall of Fame award and another for Lifetime Achievement.
Small Business of the Year: Dr. Dan Roberts and Dr. Chris Laurenzi, owners of Cornerstone Chiropractic

Bridging the Gap Award: Dr. Ron Newcomb, Chattahoochee Technical College (third from left)
Horizon Award: Jim Simpson, American Family Insurance
Ambassador of the Year: Rafael Guerra, Cartridge World of Hiram
Non Profit of the Year: Jessica Moore, McKenna Farms Therapy Services
Citizen of the Year: David Austin, Former Paulding County Commission Chairman
Hall of Fame Award: Leaving a Legacy, Ed Cahill, GreyStone Power
Lifetime Achievement Awards: Posthumous, Joe Parker -- Dallas New Era and Charles Hardy -- Hardy Family Automotive Group 1. Presenter, Dallas Mayor Boyd Austin (second from right with Parker family) 2. Hardy Family.
And the Chairman’s Award is given to the individual who works “diligently to increase membership, strengthen retention and improve awareness of chamber benefits.” The 2016 award went to Samantha Glass, All Print Marketing and Media Solutions.
