Republican Business Owner David Barnett Announces for Open State House Seat

Dallas, Georgia)-- Republican small business owner, David Barnett, announced Friday his candidacy to run for the open State House for District 17 seat to replace Rep. Howard Maxwell, who announced earlier this year his retirement from public office.
"Now more than ever, we need property tax relief," said Conservative David Barnett. "We haven't had meaningful property tax relief in Paulding County in a decade. As our next State Representative, I will support legislation to double the homestead exemption-- bringing much-needed property tax relief to homeowners."
"In a day and age where our Second Amendment rights are under attack, we also deserve a Representative who will protect our Second Amendment rights," said Barnett. "As our next State Representative, I will work to protect those rights."
Barnett is a local business owner, Floor Works & Light Works, here in Paulding County. He and his wife, Debbie, have two sons are members of the West Ridge Church.
