Paulding Detectives Arrest Home Daycare Owner For the Second Time in Two Weeks For Assaulting Children
(Paulding County, GA) Deputies with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Warrants/Civil Division arrested a local woman for the second time in two weeks for charges stemming from a child abuse investigation that originated on January 25, 2023.
Goldia Marie Lipsky (W/F, 63) was originally arrested on January 25, 2023, and charged with multiple offenses related to an incident of child abuse that occurred at her in-home daycare, Reach for the Sky Academy, LLC. Lipsky was able to bond out on the original charges on January 27, 2023. As Detectives continued to investigate the case, they were able to obtain additional video evidence, as a result of executing a search warrant at Lipsky’s home, from her interior home surveillance camera system. The video evidence that Detectives were able to secure, depicts additional acts of abuse against multiple children over the course of a seven-day period.
Detectives are working to see if they can access more footage from the camera system in order to see if there are more victims. Originally, Detectives were alerted by a tipster of video evidence that clearly showed the original assaults taking place on January 12, 2023. As the secondary investigation progressed, Detectives secured seventeen new warrants for Lipsky. On February 8, 2023, Deputies went to the Reach For The Sky Academy, LLC home daycare which is operated by Marie Lipsky and located at 71 Mill Creek Lane Hiram, GA 30141, and arrested her without incident. Lipsky has been charged with the following offenses in this second case:
- 17 Counts of Cruelty to Children (First Degree) (F)
Lipsky is being held in the Paulding County Jail with no bond. As this investigation progresses, we expect that more charges could be filed against Lipsky. Detectives would like to continue to encourage anyone who may have additional information regarding the Reach For The Sky Academy, LLC home daycare or know of any additional victims from this daycare, to please call the Investigations Tip Line at (770) 443-3047 or send a tip via the Paulding Sheriff Mobile app.
