EPHS emmyFour students from EPHS won two Student Production Awards from the Southeastern Emmys'! Chloe Black, Nicholas Boldin, Sofia Maglione, and Jack Britton. 14 students were nominated across 5 different projects. All projects were produced in the 2023-2024 school year! This is also East Paulding High School’s first batch of SPA’s in its history!
One of the stories produced was about Marshall Ervin, a police officer with the Cobb County Police Department who died on duty. Two high school students told his and Jodi’s story - how they met at East Paulding High School and how the community came together to raise funds for their family through the hit “Mr. Raider Pageant”.
The Student Production Awards are one of the top awards a high school audio, video, technology, and film student can earn in the Southeast. As it is a Southeastern Emmy competition through the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, it paves the way to the College Production Awards, the Southeastern Emmy’s and the Emmy's. Mr. Joseph Fouts launched the East Paulding High School AVTF program in 2019.
