Congratulations to Daniela Quintero, senior graduate of East Paulding High School, as she is the first recipient of the Annual "Samuel Truett Cathy" Senior Scholarship Award. This $500 scholar will be awarded annually to a graduating senior and Chick-fil-A Leader Academy chapter member that has showcased three plus years of active servant leadership capabilities.During Daniela's long-term membership she has been an active leader by example, donated several hours of personal time, spearheaded several community service events, and unselfishly promoted and participated in the program's end of the year community and school 'IMPACT" Projects geared towards facilitating and closing the social awareness gap between special needs and general education populations.
Most importantly, Daniela has exemplified Mr. Cathy's motto of being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us and to have a positive influence on all who you come in contact with.
The $500 senior scholarship will be awarded and funded annually for the next 20 years from the 10-year Celebration $10,000 award that was presented to Ples C. Davis, EPHS Chick-fil-A Leader Academy Facilitator, who accepted the responsibility of piloting the first Paulding County School System Chick-fil-A Leader Academy program in 2014. And as for his continual service toward promoting the purpose and goals of the program, Mr. Davis was awarded a $10,000 check to utilize as he saw fit and immediately, without thought he proposed a scholarship fund to award and facilitate dedicated students as they moved forward from Chick-fil-A leader Academy to their post-secondary aspirations. Just another testament and example of Mr. Cathy's and the servant leadership program's incredible influence.
