The Paulding County Fire Department is gearing up for its 4th annual Junior Firefighter Summer Camp, set to take place July 14–18, 2025. Open to middle school students, the program offers a hands-on introduction to the exciting and challenging world of firefighting—completely free of charge. The camp, held at the Paulding County Fire Training Center, will run daily from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and is limited to 35 qualified students. Campers will experience a week of action-packed activities, including physical challenges, fire safety training, and teamwork exercises that mirror the daily duties of real firefighters.
Each participant will receive a camp t-shirt and is expected to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes each day. Students should come prepared to get wet and dirty, as many of the camp’s activities involve water, crawling, and outdoor physical challenges.Parents are encouraged to attend the camp’s final day, Friday, July 18, to enjoy a hot dog cookout, observe a fun student competition, and celebrate their children during an awards ceremony.
While lunch is not provided, water and Gatorade will be available. Campers must bring their own lunches each day. Registration opens June 17 and closes June 26, or sooner if all spots are filled. Interested families should email on or after June 17 to receive a registration form.
This unique summer opportunity is available on a first come, first served basis—parents are encouraged to act quickly to secure a spot for their child.
