The Paulding Fine Arts Association is pleased to announce they have awarded the 2025 Doris Butz Fine Arts Scholarship to Paulding County High School graduate, Lauryn Eshietedoho. Lauryn was selected as the winner based on a strong application, including a portfolio of art work and outstanding academic achievement. Lauryn is the daughter of Cole and Kimberly Eshietedoho of Dallas. She plans to attend New York University in September and major in Art History. Lauryn was notified of her scholarship at the PCHS Senior Honor Awards program in May. The PFAA presented her with the $1000 award at the June meeting.
The Paulding Fine Arts Association formed in 1982 and established their Fine Arts Scholarship in 1985. A few years later, the scholarship was renamed in honor of a founding member and long time supporter, Doris Butz. This year was the 40th anniversary of the award. It is given to a Paulding County Senior planing to major in some area of fine arts based on an application that includes a sample of work, academic achievement, and statement of intent.
