boe 1FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PAULDING COUNTY, GA – November 25, 2025 – The Paulding County Board of Elections and Voter Registration has announced a decision to postpone the previously planned consolidation of polling locations and precincts. The proposed changes, which were under review to improve long-term election efficiency, will now be placed on hold until the 2027 election cycle.
This decision is a direct result of the recently announced Special Election for the 14th Congressional District, expected to take place in early 2026. Due to the announced January 5, 2026 resignation of Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene on November 21, 2025, there will not be enough time allowed by law to make the changes that were proposed, and provide proper notification to the voters.
We will not be informed of the Special Election date until the writ comes from the Governor’s Office. The Governor has up to 10 days to issue the writ after the seat becomes vacant. We will keep our voters informed when this takes place.
At the forefront of the mission of the Board of Elections is to ensure transparency, and voter convenience for all elections. This is among the highest priorities along with safe, secure and accurate elections conducted with the utmost integrity. With the time-sensitive nature of the upcoming Special Election, we have determined that proceeding with a major change like precinct consolidation would introduce unnecessary complications and potential confusion for voters. We are committed to dedicating all of our resources to a successful 2026 Special Election. Some voters will see polling location changes due to availability issues. However, there will not be any precinct line changes. Key Takeaways for Paulding County Voters:

  • • No Polling Location Changes: All polling locations and precinct assignments will remain as they are currently, with a few minor adjustments for the Special Election in 2026, the 2026 General Primary Election and the 2026 General Election.
  • • Consolidation Timeline: The review and potential implementation of precinct consolidation will be deferred until the 2027 election cycle.

Paulding County Elections thanks all citizens for their feedback and participation during the initial review process and assures the public that transparency and voter convenience remain its highest priorities. Voters are encouraged to visit the official Paulding County Elections website for the most current information regarding their registration and polling locations. www.paulding.gov
