Paulding County 4-H celebrates the 73 4-H’ers who competed in the 2026 4-H Project Achievement public speaking competitions. Project Achievement is one of the largest and most exciting, challenging, and rewarding programs offered by Georgia 4-H. 4-H’ers choose a project area of interest, research the topic, and then write and present an oral presentation to others.
For Cloverleafs, students in 4th -6th grade, this process is about hands-on learning, self-confidence, and sharing knowledge with others. For Juniors, 7 th -8 th grade, 4-H’ers are expected to go more in-depth and submit a portfolio reflecting their service and knowledge in their selected project area. Senior Project Achievement, 9th -12th , is the pinnacle of Project Achievement. Presentations and portfolios become longer and more involved. District winners at the Senior level attend State 4-H Congress, where over 200 youth from across Georgia deliver 10 to 12-minute presentations in various project areas and meet with judges to discuss their portfolio of project work, leadership, and service.  First place winners gain the title of “Master 4-H’er” and are then invited to attend National 4-H Congress. On March 28 th , 58 Paulding County 4-H’ers in the 5 th and 6 th grade traveled to Mason Creek Middle School in Douglas County to attend the Cloverleaf District Project Achievement. At the event, there were 11 counties represented with close to 200students in attendance. Paulding County won the “Highest Attendance” award for the event, and over 35 Paulding students placed 1st -3rd in their program areas.
The Junior/Senior District Project Achievement competition took place March 13 th -15 th atRock Eagle 4-H Center in Eatonton, GA. 15 Paulding 4-H’ers, ranging from 7 th -12 thgrade, attended this event, receiving four 1 st place medals, four 2 nd place medals, andfour 3 rd place medals. A special congratulations goes to KJ Johnson of North PauldingHigh School. KJ placed 1 st in the “Fruits, Vegetables, and Nuts” category and willrepresent Paulding County at State 4-H Congress this summer.
Paulding County 4-H would like to congratulate and thank all of the 4-H’ers for their hardwork and dedication. A big thank you also goes out to the parents, because none of thiswould be possible without your support. An additional thank you is extended to Carroll EMC for their financial support of this event.
