Hiram, Georgia – April 10, 2015 – Paulding County Fire & Rescue announced today the appointment of Greg Elsberry as its new Deputy Chief. He becomes only the third Deputy Chief in the Department’s history where he will immediately assume responsibility for its daily operations.
Chief Elsberry brings significant experience in his new role with PCFD where he has served for more than 25 years. In addition to a degree in Fire Science, he is a nationally registered Paramedic, Arson Investigator, Fire Inspector, and is certified by the State of Georgia as both an EMS and Fire Instructor. Chief Elsberry has also served on the State of Georgia Department of Public Health – Office of EMS & Trauma - Region One Medical Advisory Council, and Chairman of the Local Emergency Planning Committee.
Several new officers were also promoted this week and will provide continued leadership to the growing department. Emory Epps, Matt Myers, and Chris Robinson will fill three new Lieutenant positions. Matt Clotfelter, Brian Cowan, Jonathan Culpepper, Daniel Tibbitts, and Tim Wilson have been promoted to the position of Sergeant where they will oversee crews at several of the County’s busiest fire stations.

With the new leadership team in place we are very well equipped to do so.”
