Paulding Fine Arts Association held its 34th Annual Student Art Show Reception and Awards Presentation at the Dallas Civic Center and Theater. Preceding the Awards presentation, we were entertained in the Theater with the music of the very talented Luther's Mountain Band who has become a tradition for our Student Art Show.
Thanksgiving of 2020 I had just gotten off my 12-hour shift at the hospital heading to my sister's house to have dinner. On the way there I saw an ad on Facebook saying, “audition for Family Feud in Atlanta.” I immediately sent a text to my family and said we’re doing this and we’re doing an audition tape tonight!
Krystal Gray announced the release of her new book, “Sonny the Snowflake.” After the success of her first book, “Charlie the Chihuahua,” Ms. Gray has written her second delightful book that is sure to entertain with a fun story and an educational message.
Paulding County resident Avery McNeil has published the first in a series of children’s books. McNeil, a Dallas resident, is a Special Ed teacher at Powder Springs Elementary in Cobb County.
In support of West Georgia Technical College’s (WGTC) newly established Apprentice Lineman Program, Carroll Electric Membership Cooperative (EMC) recently donated a fleet bucket truck to be used for the training of up-and-coming electrical linemen.
With the final 2021 crime statistics in, the City of Dallas enjoyed another resounding 17.4% average reduction in overall crime over the previous year. This is a great accomplishment because the police department responded to approximately 22,700 calls.
The Center offers learning games, manipulatives, flashcards, and practice materials that support literacy. Caregivers are welcome to come in and use the resources in the room or they’re welcome to check out two items at any given time.
Chattahoochee Technical College students celebrated graduation from the state’s largest technical college during commencement ceremonies held Thursday, Dec. 16, at the Clarence Brown Conference Center in Cartersville.
The Paulding County High School's (PCHS) Junior Reserves Officers Training Corps (JROTC) program, The Patriot Battalion, has had a very busy semester and continues its tradition of making better citizens and creating a positive environment to develop leadership excellence. Cadets are appointed into key leadership positions at the beginning of every school year to be formally recognized.
