Paulding Fine Arts would like to thank everyone who joined us for our 16th Annual Fall Fest which was held Saturday, October 14th! We had the most beautiful weather and a street, courtyard and beyond full of vendors selling amazing items, food and offering something for everyone! Great entertainment was provided on both entertainment stages.
Paulding Patriots took on East Paulding Raiders at the boneyard for the annual Battle for Paulding. The game started out with a 6 point Patriots lead after the first half but the battle turned after halftime. The Raiders walked away with decisive 42 to 13 victory.
Friday, October 12, 2018, the Paulding Judicial Circuit Drug Court Program hosted its third graduation since it began in January 2016. There were four graduates, which brings the total number of Paulding Drug Court graduates to twelve. Participants must remain in the Program for a minimum of 18 months, although most require approximately two years to graduate. After graduation, the participants must complete six months of aftercare.
Brown and Caldwell’s Kelly Comstock, a managing consultant on Paulding’s Richland Creek reservoir project, along with site engineers conducted tours of the water treatment plant (WTP), intake, and Dam on last week. Visitors signed-up for the 100 slots available. The RCR is located on approximately 700-acres of county-owned land in northern Paulding County, in the Post 4 district.
Hiram, October 19th, Gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams arrived via tour bus and met with over 150 local residents, this was deemed an awesome turnout by the County Democratic Party Executive Committee. Abrams spoke about Medicaid expansion, criminal justice reform, investing in our small localized economies, and her plans to help every Georgian Thrive.
East Paulding High School Raiders and Head Coach Billy Shackelford was presented the revolving “Battle” trophy on October 19th with a true rivalry battle. This game did not disappoint with several lead changes and big plays to allow the Raiders to get the “w”!
