The Paulding Retired Educators Association Meeting

The Paulding Retired Educators Association met at the First Baptist Church in Dallas on January 17th. Superintendent Cliff Cole updated members on the state of Paulding County Schools. The school system's vision is to prepare all students for success today and tomorrow. The mission is to engage, inspire and prepare all students. Paulding County's population is still increasing, 13th in Georgia in growth. The county is in the process of beginning a five year strategic plan for developing goals and plans. The Dianne Wright Innovation Center houses professional learning, student assessment, nutrition and the GED program. The New Hope Center houses the Virtual Academy, online learning, and the alternative school. Despite decreasing funds, Paulding Schools is making strides. Members made donations to Helping Hands of Paulding and the Ferst Foundation, which provides books to young students.
