Paulding County Farm Bureau & PCHS FFA C.A. hold program for Roberts Elementary

On a crisp Fall morning, the Paulding County Farm Bureau and the FFA students of Paulding County High School met around the barnyard to put together a program for the C.A. Roberts Elementary School Science club members and their families. As part of the day’s adventures, the elementary school students planted tomatoes and peppers in the greenhouse, they got to hold chicks and learn the life cycle of a laying hens, build a “T” game in Ag shop and sheered a live sheep and got a lesson on show hogs in the Barn. As part of their animal science and plant science studies, this activity gave them a “hands-on” look at exactly what they were studying. The Paulding County High School culinary department graciously prepared a Georgia Grown lunch for the students which we ate on the grounds and the GA Dairy Association donated milk to drink. It was a great day. Anytime you would like to participate in an activity, with your Farm Bureau or your local chapter of FFA please contact Tracy Grice with Paulding County Farm Bureau. 770-445-6681 We’d love to share these great activities with all.farmbureau 600 1farmbureau 600 2
