This year we had 28 artists participating in the Competition submitting a total of 62 works of art. Our Competition Judge was Carrollton artist, Tom Nielson. After judging Mr. Nielson said, "This is a fine show and each and every work in it is a successful work of art.
Helping Hands is pleased to announce the selection of our new Director for Helping Hands, 10 year Paulding County resident, Reva Burks. Helping Hands could not continue to service the many needs of our county.
Mr. Austin shared with the group a status of Paulding County with regards to many of the more public local news issues. Among the topics were our bond rating is now Double A-1, and there was an extensive review of the Richland Creek Reservoir progress.
Recently, the Master Gardener Extension Volunteer Class of 2016 completed their 6 week training course. Paulding County trained 5 new interns who are already out making their mark in our community through their volunteer service.

With a population in excess of 150,000, Paulding County is able to sustain two (2) Rotary Clubs: Dallas Rotary Club AND Rotary Club of Paulding County.
The Dallas Rotary Club is the newer of the clubs. It was established in 2003 and has 17 active members. This club currently has its regular meetings on Thursday mornings at Audrey’s Cafe. Please check Facebook for schedule.
The Paulding County Rotary Club, the first Rotary Club in Paulding County, was chartered in 1969. It has approximately 42 active members and meets regularly.
Although the clubs are different from one another, the common mission is the same – SERVICE TO COMMUNITY. We invite you to visit each club to determine which is the best fit for you.
